“real ale” is but tempted to give it a go? Then come along, there will be around
thirty real ales to sample together with a range of refreshments for the peckish,
and of course soft drinks for drivers. On the Saturday evening at 8.00pm there will
be a fun quiz that is free to enter for all attending the festival so get your teams
of between two and six members arranged now.
All proceeds to Rotary designated charitable causes. Entrance is £5 to include a commemorative glass and your first half pint. Concessions for card carrying CAMRA members.

Local guided walks
Residents are being urged to wrap up warm and get fit by taking part in a series of guided winter walks.
March 17th – Queniborough. 10am from Britannia Public House, Queniborough round the area. Walking boots recommended. Cost: Free.
April 6th – Rearsby Circular – 10am from Pack Horse Bridge (park on Mill Road) and walk to Thrussington Mill. Walking boots recommended. Cost: Free.

Activities to entertain over the Easter holidays
A fun programme of sports and leisure events has been arranged to keep youngsters entertained during the Easter holidays.
Events arranged for five to 16 year olds across the borough include ice skating, mega zone, horse riding, climbing and a number of wet activities being held at South Charnwood Pool in Syston.
Local events listed include Play Days and Dance Mats at Elizabeth Park, street sports in Syston and trips to Nottingham Ice Stadium, Megazone and Tamworth Snowdome.
There are also courses on offer designed to give young people the opportunity to become a Junior Football organiser or to gain a National Pool Lifeguard qualification.
A brochure listing all the activities on offer is being distributed to schools and can also be picked up from South Charnwood Leisure Centre, Parkstone Road, Syston. A copy can also be downloaded from www.charnwood.gov.uk/ pages/holidayprogrammes
